Childhood and Youth
Mustafa Kemal Atatürk , he was born in Koca Kasım Pasha district , Islahhane street (Apostolu Pavlu Street No:75 , Aya Dimitriya District , Selanik , Greece) who is museum and it has 3 flats and 3 rooms and pink painted house in 1881.His father Ali Rıza Gentlemen was born in 1839 Kocacık.His father worked in timber merchant and soldier.Ali Rıza Efendi married with Zubeyde Hanım in 1871.They had 6 children and their names are Fatma (1872-1875) , Ahmet (1874-1883) , Ömer (1875-1883) , Mustafa (Kemal Atatürk) (1881-1938) , Makbule (Boysan , Atadan) (1885-1956) and Naciye (1889-1901).Fatma died 4 years old , Ahmet died 9 years old , Ömer died 8 years old from diphtheria.Little sister Naciye died 12 years old from tuberclosis.Makbule hanım lived for 1956.Mustafa was very clever child.Everybody can selected him from other children.He didn't join other children in order to play game.He thinked playing game is not for his.He thinked he must work.So after his father died when he was 5 years old , he and his mother and little sister Makbule went to His uncle's farm.Mustafa saw some crows were eating the cropes.And he saw scarecrow but all crows were on.So he thinked if i worked in the field and scared the crows , they didn't eat our crops.So he and his sister said this to uncle.Uncle thinked he was so clever , son he gave this mission to Mustafa and his sister.At the same time Mustafa was going to the school.Firstly he went to the Hafız Mehmet Gentlemen school , after he went to newest education system school Şemsi Gentlemen in Selanik.His mother wanted his finished the school.So Mustafa went to Selanik Mulkıye İdadi after finished primary scholl.When at the İdadi he made argument with his teacher.So his grandmother took him.Mustafa was just working during the whole year.When he saw his friend with Military uniform , he made decision , and he joined the exam of the military school.When he won the exam his mother wasn't know his success.But his mother didn't want to military but Mustafa insisted to mother , so he joined Selanik Military School.He was perfect student in the school.He loved so much Mathematic and when he was in the class , his teacher Mustafa said him ; ' You are Mustafa and i am Mustafa from now on You are Mustafa Kemal' and from now on Mustafa became Mustafa Kemal.After Military school , he went to Manastır Military Academi.His french was little , so he went to French School secretly and he improved his french very quickly.He finished Manastır Military Academi He went to the İstanbul joinde the War Academy.He became lieutenant in 1903.He finished the War Academy and became captain in 11 January 1905 and he went to Şam in order to make pratic.
